Tiajuana Denise Madden Drake
Tiajuana Denise Madden Drake, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in a local hospital.
She was a 1978 graduate of Howard High School. She also attended Edmondson College. She was a member of Alleyne AME Zion Methodist Church and attended New Beginnings. Tiajuana was employed by Memorial Hospital for 29 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Betty Jo Madden, Sr.; grandparents, Wilma Kelley, Cornelius Scott, Greely and Margaret Madden; granddaughter, Aidan Ann-Denise McGregor; and son-in-law, Darren Barksdale.
Survivors include life partner of 18 years Maurice Cosby; son, Edward Drake, Jr.; daughter, Erica Drake (Cortez) McGregor; children's father, Edward Drake, Sr.; grandchildren, Andre Foster, Jr., Essence McClure, Emarius, Elijah, Maliyah Drake, LaNorris Ford, Enaria Drake, Embree and Eradyn McGregor; brother, Marvin (Rosalind) Madden, Jr.; sisters, Deborah (Louis) Bell, Yolanda (Johnnie Leon) Hubbard, and Lori Madden; aunts, Louise (Willie, Sr.) Franklin, Patricia Madden, and Loretta Madden, all of Chattanooga; nephews, Terrin (Sherrie), Patrick, LaTroy (Candace) Bell, Carlton McDaniel, Marvin Madden, III, and Joshua Swan; niece, Brandy Madden; goddaughters, Jebrina and Tiajuanna; godsons, Jessie, Jr. and Samuel; best friend, Sabrina Battle; neighborhood family, Susan, Carmen, and Antonio Ray, Antwoin and Antonia Edwards; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relative friends.
She will lie-in-state Saturday, March 24, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 25, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor W.C. Swift as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
