Number two-ranked Dalton State posted a solid number of (+4, 284), on Tuesday, but came away with a fourth place finish in the Battle at Primm at Primm Valley Golf Club in Primm, Nev. Thanks to a spectacular second round, #1 Oklahoma City, (-29, 811), held on for the overall victory.
Number ten Wayland Baptist (Texas) used a round of (-11, 269) to hop into the runner-up spot with a (-16, 824). #3 Texas Wesleyan, (-14, 826), finished just ahead of Dalton State, (-9, 831), in fourth. #9 British Columbia, (-6, 834), rounded out the Top-5.
All-American S.M. Lee continued his stellar play with his third consecutive round of (66) to finish 3rd overall. Fellow All-American P.J. Shields posted his second straight 1-over, 71 to finish tied for 26th.
Sophomore Ben Rebne carded (+3, 73) and finished tied for 31st with Jacob Hayes of Victoria (BC). Dalton Johnson ended his tournament with (74) to finish right behind Rebne in 33rd. Senior Chase Cole rounded out Roadrunner scoring with (75).
After a grueling three-week stretch, the #2 Roadrunners will get some much needed rest before hosting the inaugural Roadrunner Classic on April 9 and 10 at The Farm in Rocky Face.
