Jenny Barber
Virginia Ellen Griffith Barber, 83, of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018.
She was born Aug. 11, 1934 to the late R.A and Hallie Griffith of Whitwell, Tn. and was always known as Jenny. Jenny worked at Wells Insurance Agency in Whitwell and at the Marion County Courthouse Assessor of Property office for 37 years. Jenny will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Griffith; and sisters, Dot, Helen, Jean, and Wilma.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen (David) Thomas; sister, Evelyn Griffith; brother, Wayne (Toni) Griffith; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Faye Land and Judy Brewer.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, from 4-8 p.m. CST.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, March 21, at 1 p.m. CST with Reverend Cecil Baxter officiating.
Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marion County Courthouse employees.
