Open House Events Scheduled For Polytech At Chattanooga State And Mechatronics Academy At Volkswagen

Two learning opportunities with programs in Hamilton County Schools have scheduled open house events to allow students and parents to learn more about the partnerships.  Polytech at Chattanooga State and Mechatronics Akademie at Volkswagen will both hold open house events next Tuesday.
 
The Polytech Academy event is Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Chattanooga State main campus, Center for Engineering, Technology, Arts & Sciences (CETAS) building.  Signage will be posted to lead attendees to the event.
 
The Mechatronics Akademie at Volkswagen is Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
at the Volkswagen of Chattanooga campus.  Signage will be posted to lead attendees to the event at Volkswagen.
 
Polytech Academy at Chattanooga State is a unique blend of high school, dual credit and dual enrollment courses designed to give students a jump start on post-secondary options and career paths. Available career paths are chemical engineering technology, Mechatronics and computer information technology. Students will take their high school and college courses at Chattanooga State. Polytech Academy is for rising juniors who have at least a 2.0 GPA and are on track for graduation.
 
The Mechatronics Akademie is a partnership between Chattanooga State, Hamilton County Schools, and Volkswagen. The Akademie blends high school, dual credit, and dual enrollment courses and is designed to give students a jump start on the path to future success in Mechatronics and the opportunity to continue with the Volkswagen Akademie for adults. Students will take their high school and college courses on the Volkswagen of America campus. The Mechatronics Akademie is for rising juniors who have at least a 2.0 GPA and are on track for graduation.
