Former Hixson Ryan's To Become Buffet Restaurant

Signs this week have gone up announcing that a Crazy Buffet restaurant will be in the former Ryan's building in Hixson.

The building had been sold to Bill Raines of the Raines Group in December for $1.5 million, and he said he planned to announce in the near future a tenant for the property.

Ryan's had been at that location and another building a few feet west near Hixson Pike and Northpoint Boulevard since the early-to-mid 1980s.

It closed in February 2016 as part of a parent company restructuring.

Details about the new restaurant's offerings have not been announced. Workers in recent days have been doing a lot of work on the building, including putting on a new roof. Mr. Raines had announced recently that the new tenant was to open around April.
