Buddy Wood
Willard Jack “Buddy” Wood, age 66, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Rosa Lee Wood and one sister, Imogene Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Wood; two daughters and son-in-law, Shannon and Jonathan Guffey and Brandy Wood, all of Dalton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jack and Brittany Wood of Dalton and Robbie Wood of Tunnel Hill; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucy Sponberger of Dalton, JoAnn Smith of Chatsworth, Tina and Charles Carnes of Rocky Face, Oleda and Newell Taylor of Dalton, Odell and Robbie Robinson of Knoxville, Bill and Pat Wood of Chattanooga and Larry and Wanda Wood of Dalton; grandchildren, Gage Long, Cain Guffey, Piper Guffey, and Scarlett Wood; nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Noel Caldwell officiating.
Burial will be in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5-9 p.m.
