Joanne Willis Barnes, age 72 of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and also was a substitute teacher in the Marion County Schools for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Ann Long Willis; and brothers, Jim D. Willis, Nick Willis, Dick Willis, and Thomas Willis.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Darrell Barnes; children, Andy Barnes and Schultzie Barnes; sister, Peggy (Tommy) Thompson; grandchildren, J.J. Barnes, Wyatt Skiles, and Ivy Barnes; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, in the funeral home chapel Jasper.
Interment will be at Sardis Cemetery, Whitwell.
