Carnilious Simmons of Dalton State (Ga.) was named SSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by BoxOut Sports, the league office announced Monday.
The award is based on performance for the week of Feb. 12-18.

The 15th-ranked Roadrunners went 2-0 in SSAC play, winning each game by double-digits
Simmons averaged 16 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game, while shooting 53% from the field.
He posted double-doubles in both games, going for 20 points and 11 boards v. Loyola (La.) and 12 points and 12 rebounds v. Mobile (Ala.)
This is his third honor of the season
In 18 games this season, he is averaging 18 points and 10.8 rebounds, while shooting 48% overall
