Chamber Of Commerce Video Advances To Regional Marketing Awards

  • Monday, February 19, 2018

The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce’s talent recruitment video, “Cha Cha Land” received three American Advertising Awards Saturday. The video received gold awards in the Online Film, Video and Sound Campaign category and the Music with Lyrics category. Additionally, the video’s music and lyrics were recognized with a Best-In-Show award for receiving the highest score among all work submitted this year.

Conducted locally by AAF Chattanooga, the American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs, is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries every year. A GOLD ADDY recognizes the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. GOLD ADDYs are automatically forwarded to the regional competition level.

“We hope talent recruiters and human resources professionals throughout the greater Chattanooga area will continue to use the 'Cha Cha Land' video as part of their talent recruitment marketing efforts,” said Sybil Topel, vice president of Marketing & Communications, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. “First we listened to our members, who told us they needed marketing to focus on recruiting tech and entrepreneur talent. Then, we developed the video in collaboration with Chamber member Pathfinder Films. In Chattanooga, creative talent abounds and we intentionally worked with local songwriters, musicians, on-screen talent and video producers. We are honored and delighted that AAF recognizes the innovative approach we took together.”

"Cha Cha Land” was developed as part of the Chamber’s Literally Perfect talent development campaign. The video’s quirky sense of humor and musical stylings are meant to entice diverse tech talent to the city. Since its launch, last year, “Cha Cha Land” has been viewed online more than 100,000 times, making it the most successful campaign ever developed by the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce.
