  • Saturday, February 17, 2018

A home was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning in Hixson.

Around 2:30 a.m., the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded to a possible house fire at 904 Wesley Drive in Hixson.

When the first unit arrived on the scene, they reported the second floor of the home was completely engulfed with fire.

Firefighters conducted a defensive attack due to the instability of the structure. Dallas Bay VFD officials reported no one was home during the fire. No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to first responders.

The Dallas Bay VFD requested a mutual aid response from Red Bank Fire Department to cover the Dallas Bay area for any additional emergency calls.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Damages are listed at $150,000.
