State-Sponsored Television

First it was the nightly Terrorism Alert Desk cloaked in red yelling at me every night, reminding me how scared I should be.

Then it was Boris, the Russian, who used to work on President Trump's campaign, giving his opinion about everything Trump does is rainbow and unicorns.

Now I read that WTVC Channel 9 has been encouraged by its parent company, Sinclair Broadcast Group, to support politicians by giving money to the Sinclair PAC. The Sinclair PAC has given money to Marsha Blackburn, who is running for the U.S. Senate.

I do not have a problem in supporting the candidate of choice. But we should have a problem with the obvious bias and slanting of our local news by a media giant that has an agenda.

WRCB has no Terrorism Alert Desk. No Boris The Russian Commentary. No mandate to support any candidate. Nor does WDEF.

If you want to watch state-sponsored television like the Russians watch, watch WTVC.

If you want to be #chattanoogastrong, I humbly suggest you watch and advertise with WRCB and WDEF.
