Shigeko S. Bazemore, 88, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died peacefully on September 13, 2018 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Known as Judy by those who knew and loved her, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and dear friend to many. She was an avid gardener and loved nothing more than to be outside working in her garden. Judy was a longtime member of Harrison United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Bazemore and grandson, Andy Whitcomb.

Survivors include her children, Patti Whitcomb of Knoxville, Tn., and Ted (Brenda) Yoshida of Goldsboro, NC; granddaughters, Kate Whitcomb of Knoxville, Tn., and Paige (Matt) Cisar of Buckeye, Arizona; great grandchildren, Noah Herring and Amelia Cisar as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Harrison United Methodist Church, 5621 TN-58, Harrison.

The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m., followed by the service at 4 p.m. Burial will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
