Last year's United Championship Racing Alliance Rookie of the Year; Jesse Lowe of Crossville, likes the late season races, picking off another "Fall Classic" event much like last year, winning the $2,000 "Larry Kyle Memorial" at I-75 Raceway Saturday night at Sweetwater, Tn.

Lowe crossed the finish line 1:146 seconds ahead of runner-up track champion Jason Manley of Loudon.

This was the UCRA's second visit of the season to I-75 Raceway as the Crate Late Model main event turned into an old fashion "slobber-knocker".

Current points leader Jimmy Elliott lead at the green flag til 2018 leading UCRA Rookie of the Year contender Michael Courtney of Knoxville mastered the back-marker traffic thing and passed Elliott closing in on lap 10 of the 40.

Lowe, the "Performance Racing Inc, Cobb NAPA Auto Parts fast qualifier (12:659) would begin reeling in Courtney during a long green flag stint. Lowe and Courtney would switch the lead three times before Lowe settled into the top spot for good, with his 5J Motorsports "Xtreme Pressure Washing, Hampton Backhoe Service, Bennett Heating & Cooling, MSW Home Solutions and Gondola Pizza & Steakhouse, MSR MAfia" sponsored Rocket race car.

The victory (worth a total of $2,300 with bonuses) was Lowe's first UCRA victory of the season. The event was slowed by five caution flags, the final of which flew with just four laps remaining. Nineteen entries entered the event.

Next Saturday, the UCRA heads to Tazewell Speedway in the northeastern portion of the state for a  $3,000 to-WIN race, thus being the third race of the season at the Ultra High Banked 1/3- mile oval. It's Trick or Treat for the kids next weekend as UCRA Headliners will all be passing out candy early Saturday afternoon. For more information visit www.UCRAracing.com
