Barbara “Bunny” Louise Spear, 87, a native of Florida, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
Mrs. Spear was born in Miami and raised in Jacksonville, Fl., where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She was an active member of Chapel By the Sea Presbyterian Church in Ft. Myers Beach and served those in need with God’s Table for the Homeless, also in Ft. Myers Beach.
Bunny was a wonderful wife, mother and mother-in-law, and will be dearly missed. She will always be remembered for her love of letter writing and communicating with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Louise Mullis; and brother, Bill Mullis.
Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Ralph H. “Speedy” Spear; daughter, Barbie R. Hoffman of Atlanta; son, Douglas H. (Jill) Spear of Signal Mountain; grandson, Douglas (Renee) Hoffman of California; granddaughter, Emily L. (Andrew) Tang of Tampa, Fl.; sister-in-law, Karen Mullis of Springfield, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Dominion Senior Living, 2143 Northpoint Blvd., Hixson, Tn. 37343.
