Dr. Donald Howard
Dr. Donald Howard, 83, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired lieutenant of Chattanooga Police Department and a retired Baptist minister.
He was preceded by his parents, Van B. Howard and Stella Bryant Howard; sisters, Virginia Perryman, Martha Mays Holt, and Patricia Hardin; and brother, Jimmy Lee Howard.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Mary Gertrude Billingsley Howard; son, Donald Ray (Gayle) Howard Jr.; daughter, Donna Renee` (Robert) Campbell; sisters, Lou Harbin, Shirley Frazier; grandchildren, Natalie Bannon, Amanda Howard, Britney Forshee, Luke Howard; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 22, from 1-8 p.m. CST.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. CST with Bro. Jeff Nelson officiating.
Interment will follow at Caroline’s Chapel Cemetery with Full Military Honors presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guards.
