Robert Cartwright
Robert Blaine Cartwright, 83, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018.
He was the son of the late Pearl Jenkins Cartwright and R.C. Cartwright. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Cartwright, Pledger Cartwright, Melvin Cartwright and Dwight Cartwright.
He started work out of high school at Dixie Foundry and retired from Magic Chef after more than 40 years of service.
He was a loving husband and dearly loved both his grandchildren and great-grandsons.
He was a member of Thompson Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Cartwright; daughter, Teresa Choat and husband Jeffrey; grandson, Josh Choat and wife Sarah; granddaughter, Alex DeCamp and husband Will; great-grandsons, Braedon and Kaden Choat and Jaxson DeCamp; sisters, Pauline Cartwright, Gladys (George) Pierce, Pearl (Don) Hill, Myrtle Smith; brothers, Earl (Teresa) Cartwright, Wayne (Ellie) Cartwright. Sister-in-law, Jackie Cartwright.
A remembrance of life service will be held at Companion Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Kevin Teague officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery with Gregg Smith, Eddie Smith, Rob Pierce, Larry Choat, Jeffrey Choat and Roy Reyher servers as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Ward, Richard Blankenship and JR Fortenberry.
