Clara Sue Holbrook, 83, of Birchwood, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Christopher and Lucille Thomas and was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Holbrook and five siblings, Laura Mae Thomas, Joe Thomas, Jeannie Webb, Elizabeth Thomas and James Thomas.

Clara retired from Benton Oil Company and later worked at the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah.

She is survived by five children, Patricia (Mike) Castle, of Whitwell, Susie (Ronnie) Moore, of Jasper, Kathy (Mark) White, of Jasper, Brenda Holbrook, of Birchwood, Linda Holbrook, of Hixson, seven stepchildren, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister, Thelma Kilgore, brother, Sonny Thomas, both of Jasper, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home.
