Morning Pointe Named Top Corporate Team At Alzheimer's Association Banquet

  • Friday, January 19, 2018

Morning Pointe Senior Living was named top corporate team for the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s during the Southeast Tennessee Mid-South Chapter Alzheimer’s Association’s annual fundraiser banquet.

Morning Pointe’s assisted living and memory care communities in Chattanooga, Collegedale, Ooltewah and Hixson raised $9,000 during 2017, with an additional $5,000 sponsorship.

Holly Holcomb, senior life enrichment director at Morning Pointe, was named top individual fundraiser for contributing nearly $3,800 throughout the year.

"I am so very proud of the combined efforts of our Morning Pointe communities – not only in funds raised, but in hours spent and lives touched in support of the Alzheimer's Association and this important cause," said Greg A. Vital, president and CEO Independent Healthcare Properties and Morning Pointe Senior Living.

Associates, residents and families participated in a variety of creative activities involving the greater community to benefit the cause -- a condition with no known cure that affects more than five million Americans.

Morning Pointe team is already eager to go above and beyond for the next Alzheimer's walk.

“Our residents, associates and volunteers find great joy in participating in this event year after year,” said Ms. Holcomb. “This is such a great honor, and we are proud to be representing those who are fighting the good fight with hopes for a cure someday.”
