A former Chattanooga Police officer has been charged with possession of child pornography.

The charge was brought in Federal Court against Bryan Moody III.

Moody was earlier placed on administrative leave.

The charge was filed by an information, rather than an indictment.

The information says in April 2017 "knowingly accessed and attempted to access with intent to view material that contained an image of child pornography."

He is represented by the firm of Davis and Hoss.
