James Percy Paul, 96, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018. 

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Inez Roe. They were married 59 years. 

Born in Allen, Al., the World War II veteran is survived by one son, Ron (Mary) of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Rebekah Nichols of Jakarta, Indonesia, Julie Portwood of Soddy Daisy, Josh Paul and Amanda Paul of Chattanooga, and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor James will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, in the Heritage Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Jim Barkley officiating.

Interment will be Saturday in Union Baptist Cemetery – Grove Hill, Al.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Woodland Park Baptist Church - Building Fund (www.woodlandpark.org).
