Gary Winston Hurley, 69, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018.
Gary was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Second Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. He later attended Bethel Memorial Baptist Church. Gary was a Cummings Diesel mechanic by trade and worked 20 plus years for the City of LaFayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph “Bill” Winston Hurley and Mary McGuire Hurley; and sister, Nancy Kay Pedigo.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Hurley Curry (Jason Pettigrew) of LaFayette; and grandchildren, Madison Curry and McKennah Curry.
A graveside funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Bud Martenn officiating.
Pallbearers are Jason Pettigrew, Drew Pettigrew, A.J. Pettigrew, and Stacy Curry.
Visitation will be from 6–9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
