Side Track On Hixson Pike, Spot Coffee Shop, Mexi-Wing VII Make Debuts

  • Thursday, September 7, 2017

Several new Chattanooga eating spots are making their debuts.

Representatives appeared before the city Beer Board on Thursday.

Layton Haygood was approved to sell beer at his new restaurant Side Track, 3514 Hixson Pike. This restaurant will specialize in rotisserie chicken that is later put in a very hot pizza oven for a crispy finish.

The chicken will be available in five flavors.

The Spot Coffee Shop, 1800 E. Main St. was also given a beer permit. The restaurant serves paninis, coffee, ice cream and desserts. Beer will round-out the menu, said owner Justin Heath Sweeney.

Mexi-Wing VII, is opening at 6925 Shallowford Road, the former location of Epic Sports Bar. It will serve beer along with Mexican food in a family environment.
