Debra Jackson
Debra “Debi” Jackson, 58, of Chattanooga, passed away surrounded by family the morning of Friday, September 22, 2017. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus around 2 AM.
Debi was born to Charlie and Ollie (Weeks) Norman on Dec. 31, 1958. She married her college sweetheart, Dennis Jackson, on Dec. 6, 1980. Together they raised two children, Michael Jackson, and Jordan (Jackson) Lemons. The most important things in Debi’s life were her faith in Jesus Christ and her family. She was a talented artist, good friend, great listener and hard worker.
She was an employee of Erlanger Hospital for 18 years, and her coworkers and managers were a tremendous support to her during her battle with cancer. Her church family, Brainerd Baptist, especially the Kendall Sunday School class, was a source of great comfort and strength.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Norman Sr.
Debi is survived by her mother, Ollie; husband, Dennis; children, Michael and Jordan; sister, Barbara; brother, Charlie Jr. and grandson, Jackson Lemons.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home (Lennon Cottage) or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
