Creative Discovery Museum, Children’s Hospital At Erlanger Partner For Teddy Bear Clinic

  • Thursday, September 21, 2017

Through a grant funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Creative Discovery Museum and Children’s Hospital at Erlanger will participate in a three-year partnership, Healing through Hands On Science.

Part of that partnership includes a Teddy Bear Clinic led by Child Life Specialists from Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, an event unique in Chattanooga. The Teddy Bear Clinic allows children to become doctors and nurses as they take their patient (a teddy bear) through all the necessary steps to complete a medical procedure including, the sign in process, triage, operative prep, surgery and recovery.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, from 1-3 p.m. at the Creative Discovery Museum, 321 Chestnut Street.
