Peter Lochmaier
Former Baylor School swimmer Peter Lochmaier has been named to the Air Force Academy men's swimming/diving roster for 2017-18.
The Falcons officially open the season on Friday, Oct. 6, at the Colorado Mesa Invitational.
Lochmaier, a freshman from Signal Mountain, earned four letters in swimming and diving at Baylor and was a 2017 All-American in the 100 fly. He was a two-time All-American in the 100 fly, 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay. He was named to the 2017 NCSA All-Star Team and was a US Open Qualifier in the 200 fly. He was a NCSA & Winter Junior National Finalist.
The National Merit Scholar was a national finalist in the ACS chemistry Olympiad. He was an AP Scholar with distinction and a member of the National Honor Society.
He was a member of cadet squadron 7.
The son of Geoff and Julie Lochmaier, he has one older sibling, Emeline, a 2017 Air Force graduate and member of the USAF swimming team.
He is majoring in chemistry with hopes of a career in chemistry research or attending graduate school.
