Hoping For The Best With The PBS Vietnam War Documentary

  • Sunday, September 17, 2017

Tonight begins the 18 hour Ken Burns documentary on the War. Burns is famous for the depth and quality of his works, but he is known to lend a bit of a liberal tilt at times, so we shall see what works.

Years ago, I was one of probably thousands who wrote PBS asking that Burns tackle this project, because nothing else previously done was fulfilling to me. Now, I'm kind of anxious due to the fear that it will still be unsatisfactory.

I plan to try to watch as much as I can stand, hoping to find some of the missing pieces I have looked for for nearly 50 years. Pieces that I'm not sure where they would even fit. Hoping for the best.
