I am appalled by what Lee Davis stated about Doug Dyer. Doug Dyer knew his responsibilities to his "family" while he was scamming millions of dollars from his investors. Maybe his wife, who also benefited greatly from his scams, could step up and take care of his family duties as most wives do.
Doug is just another Bernie Madhoff and the Pharm Bro guy, and should go to a federal (not a country club one) prison for the rest of his life, for this selfish heinous crime that ruined most his investors.
Just because he has "family" in "high places" does not make him different than anyone else.

I agree 100 percent with Marsha Thompson on the Doug Dyer case. Financial fraud is just as bad as robbing someone with a gun and when an ,"advisor," takes advantage of his own friends and colleagues as Bernie Madoff and Dyer did it makes it even more so.
I had both a securities license and an insurance license in my lifetime and this so-called investment scam is one of the most convoluted I have ever heard of. I know there are different laws for "accredited" high net worth individuals but this sounds like one of the old I have some beachfront property in Kansas for sale.
It seems like there has never been an advisor convicted of financial fraud that didn't have a sick mother or family member or the convicted had an illness himself. Sorry Mr Dyer, you made your own bed and now it is time for you to pay your debt to society, if not your friends you fleeced .
