Harold Lester
Harold K. Lester, Pastor Emeritus of Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Woodland Terrace Health Care Center.
He was born April 18, 1945, in Detroit, to the late John and Novella Lester.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Curtis Evon Lester, loving daughter Benita (Dr. Robert Spicer) of Dallas; two grandchildren, Caleb and Carsyn, and a host of other relatives.
The body will lie in state from 1-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church and the body will lie in state at 12:30 p,m, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at 7625 Hamilton Park Dr. #22, Chattanooga, TN. 37421, 423 265-3600.
