Led by a pair of touchdowns by Hudson Petty and Josh Wingo the coach Randall Bolin Era at Whitwell opened on a high note with a 36-0 win against host Boyd Buchanan Friday night in a non-region high school football contest.
Whitwell's Tracye Condra led all players with 71 yards on 17 carries followed by teammate Josh Wingo with 52 yards on 10 carries and one score.
The victorious Tiger quarterback Warner Ashworth was 7 of 9 for 83 yards and one scoring pass while Bryce Hamblin was 1 of 1 for 32 yards and one score.
After a scoreless first quarter, Whitwell scored twice for a 15-0 lead at halftime, added two more touchdowns in the third quarter and a final tally in the final 12 minutes.
