Helen Bredwell, 72, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Erlanger Medical Center of Chattanooga.
She was a member of Bethsadia Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Naomi Janow; and sisters, Betty Janow and Margaret Janow.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Bill Bredwell of Decatur; son, Tony Bredwell of Decatur; brother, Richard Janow and Patsy of Athens; sisters, Kathleen Bredwell and Ralph of Decatur, and Judy Walker and Mitchell of Athens. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends will all miss her.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Moore and Rev. Kyle Floyd officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 16, from 5-7 p.m.
Interment will be Thursday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Decatur.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Bredwell, Michael Bredwell, Henry Brigham, Eddie Walden, David Blizzard, and Wayne Brown.
