Eugene “Gene” C. Penney, 79, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
Eugene was a lifelong resident of Soddy Daisy. He retired from Combustion Engineering with over 30 years of service as a welder. He loved hunting and fishing.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Myrtle R. Penney; daughter, Twila J. Wade; son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Kimberly A. Penney; grandchildren, William, Erin, and Storm Wade, Michael A., and Frank E. Penney; great grandchildren, Jocelyn M., Emmaline G., Aiden M., and BenJermin E. Penney.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, July 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for Eugene will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday at the North Chapel. Burial will be private in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRT@tn.gov.
