William Asborn Workman, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Life Care Center of Cleveland, TN.

Mr. Workman was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hannah Workman and two great-grandchildren Skye and Hava.

He served in the military for eight years during the Korean War. He was retired from Olin Chemical Company with over 34 years of service. Mr. Workman was an elder and member of Life Church in Mobile, AL. He was an avid fisherman. He loved his family but most of all he loved God and faithfully served Him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Wynette Workman; four sons: Timothy Workman of Baton Rouge, LA, Pastor Terry Workman and wife Jasmine of Baton Rouge, LA, Joe Workman and wife Pam of Cleveland, TN, Mark Workman and wife Jane of Semmes, AL; daughter Diana Greer and husband Ronnie of Marion, VA; brother James E. Workman and wife Carol of Augusta, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Jonathan, Heather, Jennifer, Kristie, Benjamin, Matthew, and Holly. In addition to these, he is survived by ten plus great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A private interment will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
