DAR Hosts Veterans At VEP Program At UT

  • Monday, July 24, 2017

For the fifth year, Nancy Ward Chapter NSDAR, assisted by the four other chapters in Chattanooga , served lunch to 20 veterans and their instructors at the VEP program at UT. The other chapters who provided food, drinks and smiles were Moccasin Bend, Chief John Ross, Judge David Campbell and Chickamauga.

The ladies were responsible for the groups lunch. They interacted with the students and saw the program's direction.

These students are veterans of past wars who are looking for a way to start or improve their own businesses. It is a rigorous program and they do not have much time for lunch so the DAR bought it to them.

The Nancy Ward chapter and the John Sevier SAR chapter also supplied their study room at the hotel with drinks, snacks and fruit.
