Held Long Career As A Truck Driver

Bill Higdon, 67, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at his home.

Bill retired as a truck driver after 37 years and was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Dorothy Higdon; siblings, Polly Davis, Ernest Higdon, Johnny Higdon, Paul Higdon, Frank Higdon, Louise Yoder, Helen Higdon, Grady Higdon and Leroy Higdon.

Survivors include his wife, Lee Anne Higdon, sons, Joey Higdon and Matthew Campbell; daughters, Amanda Brett Church and Lisa Griffith; brothers, Gene, Doyle, Jerry, Junior and Brian Higdon; sisters, Peggy Bowers and Dottie Petty; grandchildren, Ethan Church, Ella Campbell, Landrie Church and Sawyer Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Brian Crowe officiating and special speaker, Fatima Henderson. Interment will follow in Hickman Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and 11 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
