Knoxville – Hola Hora Latina, the exhibition by Moises Ponce, features his “Arte 504” collection on display through July 28 at Casa HoLa.

Nashville – Nashville Ballet celebrates 10 years of Nashville’s Nutcracker early with Christmas in July, a special $5 off ticket discount with promo code XMASJULY. Nashville’s Nutcracker plays Dec. 2-23 at Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Jackson Hall.

Nashville – For every beer sold, $1 is donated to Tennessee State Parks July 23 and July 30 at Tennessee Brew Works’ Taproom.

Murfreesboro – The 50th annual Murfreesboro Antique Show attracts some of the finest antique dealers across the U.S. at the Middle TN Convention Center.

Dandridge – Encore Theatrical Company presents the musical masterpiece Ragtime, based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow 8 p.m. ET July 14-15, 21-22 and 2 p.m. ET July 16 and July 23 at the Jefferson County High School Performing Arts Center.

Gatlinburg – Summer Craftman’s Fair was voted one of the Southeast’s “Most Popular Events” as it hosts artisans and craftsmen from all over the U.S. with more than 200 booths.

McMinnville – Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys, a country music and Opry legend, headlines the upcoming Bluegrass Underground show with openers The Farmer & Adele 1 p.m. CT in the Volcano Room at Cumberland Caverns.

Paris – Kentucky Lake Water Fun Run is held on the Kentucky Lake every third week of July. Players travel to area resorts, getting a card stamped. Poker hands are played with a chance to win.

Blountville – The 33rd annual Kawasaki Team Green Tennessee State Motocross Championship brings some of the best motocross competitors together at Muddy Creek Raceway.

Chattanooga – Chattanooga’s artistic community is highlighted at the Local Artist Festival, boasting 50 or more artists, craftsmen, photographers and other mediums of artistry 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET at the First Tennessee Pavilion.

Jonesborough – History Happy Hour continues with ETSU History Department Chair and Professor Colin Baxter who speaks about the life of James Baxter Bean 6:30 p.m. ET at the Chester Inn State Historic Site & Museum. The event includes free refreshments.

Nashville – Mandolinist Mike Compton, Grammy and International Bluegrass Music Association Award winner, performs 6-8 p.m. CT in the Frist Center Cafe at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

July 20-22

Gallatin – Across the Lines | A New Play with Music takes place 7:30 p.m. CT July 20-21 with performances 2 p.m. CT and 7:30 p.m. CT July 22 at CenterStage.

July 20-23

Atwood – The Nebulosity Music & Arts Festival features bands like Levitation Jones, Waker, and Sirius Colors, a mix of EDM and alt-rock beginning noon CT Thursday through noon CTSunday at Clay Farm.

July 21

Nashville – Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, singers of Air Supply, bring their talented harmonies 8 p.m. CT to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Townsend – Embark on the Behind the Scenes Tour of Cades Cove with Mike Meldrum, retired national park ranger, to see parts of Cades Cove most visitors never experience 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, departing from the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center.

Franklin – Bluegrass Along the Harpeth Fiddlers Jamboree invites the public to bring a blanket or lawn chair to experience bluegrass acts from across the region in downtown Franklin.

Eagleville – The Watermelon Festival features a splash zone, Bubble Blast Pool, inflatable waterslides, seed spitting, melon toss and a watermelon eating contest 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT at Lucky Ladd Farm.

Hendersonville – Songwriters Night features local artists 5-9 p.m. at Historic Rock Castle.

Lenoir City – Discover Life in America hosts its second BioBlitz of the summer in coordination with Tennessee Valley Authority that includes interactive activities surrounding nature 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET at Hall Bend Trail at the Tellico Reservoir. The event is free and family friendly.

Lewisburg – Enjoy live music by The Bird & The Bear & Friends Birthday Celebration 6 p.m. CT at Pickers Creek Winery.  

Union City – Jupiter: The King of the Planets is a fun, educational event about the solar system, part of the Family Education Series 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. CT in the ATA Room at Discovery Park of America.

Lawrenceburg – James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival celebrates the birthplace of Southern gospel music, Lawrenceburg, at the Historic Crockett Theatre.

Man Barges Into Woman's Home In MLK Neighborhood; Tries To Rape Her; Photos Of Suspect Released

Chattanooga Police said a man barged into a woman's home in the MLK Neighborhood around noon on Tuesday and tried to rape the woman.   Police said, "The victim was followed by the suspect into her residence where the victim was then attacked. Moccasin Bend Resident Asks City To Move Police Firing Range So He Can Open Bed And Breakfast Inn

A Moccasin Bend resident is asking the city to move a police firing range from off the historic Bend so he can open a bed and breakfast inn.
