Cameron Bainbridge Cross, 26, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

Born in Chattanooga, on May 11, 1991, Cameron was adopted at the age of 10 weeks by Earl and Selah and was an easy baby right from the start.  He slept through the night from the very beginning. “What parent wouldn’t love that?”

Cameron was always an enthusiastic and explorer child who asked the deep questions about God and life like – Who Is God?

Many long nights and lengthy discussions were held until Cameron got the answer he was looking for.

He enjoyed playing the piano and organ as a young boy and was actually better than he gave himself credit for being.

Cameron loved talking with people and could easily make great impressions upon those he would meet.

Cameron was a graduate of Tennessee Temple Academy where he played football and he also attended Tennessee Temple University for a time.

He was an avid outdoorsman enjoyed caving, repelling, fishing, rock climbing and kayaking.

He attended Rock Creek Fellowship in Rising Fawn.

Cameron was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Miller, and his birth father, Edward Manz III.

The greatest joy of his life was being a father to his three-year old son, Joseph Dylan Cross who said upon learning of his father’s death…. “My Daddy Loves Me”.

Cameron is also survived by his parents, Earl and Selah Cross; Lookout Mountain, birth mother, Cari Lemons; sisters, Elena Cross (Chad Grosskreutz), Chattanooga, Sophia Cross; brother, Brandon Cross, both of Lookout Mountain; grandparents, Ralph and Lois Cross, Ringgold, and Pauline Miller, El Paso, Texas;  many aunts, uncles and cousins and literally hundreds of extended family members and church friends who have stood by Cameron through thick and thin.

A Celebration of Cameron’s Life will be held on Friday, June 30, at 1 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church (8451 E. Brainerd Road) with the Reverend Dr. Bob Borger, Dr. Bill Higgins, Wil Davis and Reverend Corby Shields officiating.

Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. J. Render Caines officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cameron Cross Memorial Fund at Rock Creek Fellowship,  2008 Durham Road, Rising Fawn, GA  30738.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 28, from 4:30–8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
