Winners From the 13th Annual Ice Cream Social Announced

  • Monday, June 26, 2017

The 13th annual Ice Cream Social at the Chattanooga Market was held on Sunday, allowing market-goers the chance to sample and vote for their favorite ice cream flavors.

Five local creameries, including Cold Stone Creamery, Clumpie’s Ice Cream, Mayfield, Milk & Honey, and The Ice Cream Show all participated in the annual fundraiser held at the Chattanooga Market to benefit Chambliss Center for Children.

After testing 10 different flavors, participants voted for their favorites in two categories, “Best Pure Flavor” and “Best Flavor with Inclusions”.  The competition was very tight, however, coming out on top for “Best Pure Flavor” was Milk & Honey with their Summer Strawberry. The Ice Cream Show took home the trophy for “Best Flavor with Inclusions” for their Peanut Delight.

“The event was a complete sellout this year,” said Lesley Berryhill, director of Communications for Chambliss Center for Children. “We are so grateful to our dedicated ice cream vendors who donate their time and products every year to benefit our agency. Their generosity allows us to put all the money raised from ticket sales directly back in to our programs.”
