The Covenant women's soccer team will play 17 regular season matches in 2017, 10 of which are slated for Scotland Yard, as the program released its schedule. The Lady Scots will face regional and national powers at home along with a full conference slate.

Covenant, coming off a 13-5 season in 2016, will open the year with back-to-back home matches.
The season opener is set for
Saturday, Sept. 2 at Scotland Yard against USA South newcomer Berea, though the match will not count towards league standings. Berea and Covenant will meet again on Oct. 7 in Kentucky and that match will be counted in USA South standings. On Sept. 7, Covenant welcomes Belhaven to Lookout Mountain for the first time since 2008.

The Lady Scots then travel to Rome, Ga., for a neutral-site contest with Transylvania on Sept. 9 before going to Sewanee on Sept. 13.

Covenant's Homecoming match will be against non-conference foe Oglethorpe on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 5 p.m.Three days later, the Lady Scots host regional foe Birmingham Southern at Scotland Yard on Sept. 19.

USA South play opens up on Sept. 23 at reigning conference tournament champion Piedmont. The conference home opener is Sept. 27 against Agnes Scott before Covenant faces league newcomer Brevard on Sept. 30, although that match will not count towards league standings due to Brevard's transition from NCAA Division II to Division III. Covenant and Brevard are conference foes once again after both being members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference while in the NAIA.

In October, Covenant hosts region foe Berry on Oct. 11 before finishing the regular season with three straight home matches. Maryville comes to Scotland Yard on Oct. 19 for a key USA South West matchup before Covenant hosts Wesleyan on Oct. 21. National power Emory tops off the regular season on Monday, Oct. 23.

The USA South Tournament is set to begin on Oct. 25 with play-in matches at campus sites before moving to the quarterfinal round on Oct. 28 at higher seeds. The semifinals and championship will be held on Nov. 3-4 at the highest remaining seed.
