Peggy Downs
Peggy Elizabeth Downs, 69, of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017.
Mrs. Downs was a lifelong resident of the area and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Willie Odell and grandson, Dalton Platt.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Downs, children, Stacey Williams (Leonard), Deward Johnson, Jamie Alexander (Todd), Charlie Downs, Nell Downs and Mandy Downs, sister, Beverly Blackwell and brother, Pat Odell, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Mrs. Downs' life will be on Thursday, June 22, in the funeral home chapel.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday.
