Shirley Faye Stephens, 81, of Rossville, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Mrs. Stephens was an active member of the Rossville Church of Christ, was a volunteer for the food panty and served as a Pink Lady at Hutcheson Medical Center.  She was a Gold Star Wife, volunteered with the Navy Auxilliary, loved her family unconditionally and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and making fruit cakes. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stephens, Jr., parents, John and Lillie Corbin, sisters, Edith Odell, and Stella Corbin, brothers, Donald, Wayne, Joseph, and John Paul Corbin.

Survivors include her children, Anita Beard, Sharon (Mark) Marcus, Donald Whaley, and Sarah (DeForest) Montgomery; brothers, William, James, Max (Carol), and Ira (Mary) Corbin; 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with private interment to follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, from 5-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
