Marilyn Reynolds
Marilyn Thornton Reynolds, 72, of LaFayette, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 19, 2017, surrounded by her family.
She was born in LaFayette on April 18, 1945, to the late Gordon Thornton and Edna Williams Thornton. Marilyn was a member of Naomi Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bo Thornton, Mack Thornton, and Tony Thornton; sisters, Margaret Southerland and Barbara Hamilton.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Jerry Reynolds; daughter, Annette M. Martin; son, Keith (Kay) McKin; stepdaughter, Denise “Dink” (Leon) Rhinehart and stepson, John (Frances “Boo”) Reynolds; grandchildren, Josh (Amy) Martin, Blake (Kisha) Martin, Chris (Lisa) McKin, Whitney (Josh) Yarber; step grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Weaver, Jessica (Allen) Smeed, Erika Reynolds, and Hayden Reynolds; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine (Bud) Chapman; brothers, Donald Thornton, Ronald Thornton, Jim (Nita) Thornton, Bill (Allison) Thornton, and Dan (Patty) Thornton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Garland Hullender and Pastor Rodney Blaylock officiating.
Interment will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Oakview Nursing Home and Affinis Hospice.
Visitation at the funeral home, on Tuesday from 6–9 p.m.
