Boyd Buchanan’s Head Of School Will Dare To Dance This Fall

  • Tuesday, June 20, 2017

Boyd Buchanan’s Head of School Jill C. Hartness is celebrating over 10 years of healthy kidneys by participating in the 10th annual Dare to Dance fundraiser that benefits the Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga.

“In 2006, I was blessed with the opportunity to share the gift of life with my brother, Chuck. He would have done the same for me.” Ms. Hartness stated. “I am proud to be a living organ donor and grateful to God that we are both healthy and can share in each others’ lives.”

She kicked off the announcement with her dance partner, Casey Haywood, by hosting her first fundraiser event with a small gathering of close friends and family.

“My hope and goal is to raise over $15,000 and increase awareness for the purpose of educating others about kidney disease,” said Ms. Hartness.

Thirteen co-competitors will take the stage on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Chattanooga Convention and Trade Center to support this locally-funded nonprofit organization.

Anyone interested in supporting Ms. Hartness can contact her at 423-622-6177 or jhartness@bbschool.org. Visit bit.ly/TeamJillHartness to make an online donation.
