Chambers, Deborah Sue (LaFayette)

Deborah Sue Chambers, 62, of LaFayette, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017.

She was a member of the Harbor Lights Baptist Church for 21 years.

Preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy “ Dot” Gribble Stapp.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joe Chambers of LaFayette; father, Rev. Oscar Stapp of LaFayette; daughters, Lorrie (Paul) Herrell of Ooltewah, and Madesta Brown of LaFayette; sister, Vickie (Travis) Thompson, of LaFayette; brother, Daniel (Brenda) Stapp of Rock Spring; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 30, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Jim Powell officiating.

Interment will be in Woodstation Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 29, from 6-8 p.m.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
