Nora Still
Nora Marie Fetzer Still, 90, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Her passing was peaceful and she was surrounded by the love of her family.

She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.  She was a faithful member of the Unity Sunday School Class and attended weekly until only recently when her failing health prevented attendance.

Nora was born in Etowah, Tn., and grew up during the Great Depression with a deep love and commitment to family and the Lord.  She worked as a telephone switchboard operator during the early years of her marriage to Bill. They soon moved to Cleveland, where she resided until her death. When Beverly was born 10 years later, Nora became a full time mother and homemaker.

She valued hard work and self-reliance her entire life.  She was not happy unless she was doing something purposeful whether planting a garden, putting up vegetables or helping her large extended family.  At night, when she could not sleep, she would lie in bed and count her blessings. She often said she was determined to get every member of her family to heaven.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William H. Still, Jr., her parents, Albert and Nora Fetzer as well as her seven brothers and sisters, Nina Mae Rowland, Edith Cook, Frankie Fetzer, Nannie Sue Long, Mary Lou Swartout, Jackie Seaborn and D.R. Fetzer.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Beverly Still of Ooltewah, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, at 2 p.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 12-1:45 p.m. on Tuesday at Fike Randolph & Son Funeral Hone

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Unity Sunday School Class Tape Ministry at North Cleveland Church of God, 335 11th ST NE, Cleveland, TN. 37311.

We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the Still family guestbook at www.fikefh.com.
