BILOXI, Miss. -- Jorge Lopez tossed a three-hit shutout and Angel Ortega hit a two-run home run, as the Biloxi Shuckers topped the Chattanooga Lookouts 2-0 on Saturday.
The Lookouts batted in the top of the fifth, but then the rains came again. This time, the game was called. Because the game had passed the top of the fifth with the home team winning, the Lookouts lost.
Stephen Gonsalves (0-1) went four innings, allowing two runs and two hits in his return to Southern League action. Gonsalves gave up the two runs on two hits. He walked one and struck out three. 33 of his 57 pitches were strikes.
The only score of the game came in the fourth inning when Ortega hit a two-run home run.
Lopez (3-2) struck out six and walked two to get the win.
The Lookouts offense had just three hits, two by catcher Dan Rohlfing.
The Lookouts were blanked for the seventh time this season, while the Shuckers' staff recorded their fourth shutout of the year.
