Memphis University School scored the first goal and the last goal to defeat McCallie, 9-8, in 2 OT Saturday for the high school state lacrosse championship played at Pope John Paul II in Hendersonville.
MUS took at early 2-0 lead, 3-2 after one period, 5-3 at half and 7-5 after three periods.
The Owls held at 8-6 advantage late in the fourth, but McCallie forced overtime with goals with 19 seconds and eight seconds remaining in the fourth.
After a scoreless first overtime period, MUS scored the winning goal 22 seconds into the second sudden death period.
