Body Of Missing 18-Year-Old Fort Loudoun Boater Recovered

The body of a missing boater on Fort Loudoun Lake has been recovered.

 

Investigating Officer Jeff Roberson reports that at 9:45 p.m., the body of a missing 18-year-old male was recovered by divers from the Knox County Rescue Squad.

 He was identified as Joshua Armon Davis of Knoxville.

 

 TWRA officers and Investigators located the victim by use of a Remote Operated Vehicle.

 

The victim fell overboard from a boat that was adrift in the Little Turkey Creek area of Fort Loudoun Lake.  There were two other occupants on the boat at the time of the incident.  Witnesses say the victim had a personal flotation device in his hand when he fell into the water, went under and never resurfaced. 

 

A medical examiner with the Regional Forensics Center has ordered an autopsy and the incident is under investigation by TWRA.
