Harriett Creech
Harriett Ann Carr Creech, 60, of Fayetteville, North Carolina died peacefully on April 26, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 23, 1956, she spent much of her life in Chattanooga and North Georgia before moving to Fayetteville, NC almost 20 years ago.
She was a 1974 graduate of Lakeview High School and a member of Linden First Baptist Church, Linden, NC.
She was a gifted quilter, floral designer and was owner of Sew Grandly Quilted and Sew Grandly Decorated Wreaths in Fayetteville, NC. In addition to her many achievements, she was also accomplished pianist.
Harriett was preceded in death by her first husband, Baxter Glenn Shavers (1973-1978); brother, Donald Carr; fathers in law, Wilbur Creech and Glenn Shavers; grandparents, Charles Carr and Dorine Magnuson, Stella Kelly and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband, Laten Creech, Fayetteville, NC; parents, Charles (Jerry) and LaNell Carr, Ringgold; children, Jeremy (Jonie) Shavers, Jasper, Kelly (Tony) Ledford, Jarrod Smith, both of Fort Oglethorpe, Alan (Lauren ) Creech, Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Jeffrey (Julie) Creech, Hillsborough, NC; many grandchildren; mothers-in-law, Delores Creech, Winston-Salem, NC, and Helen Shavers, Fort Oglethorpe; sisters, Sherry (Gary) Mayo and Deborah Carr Peterson, both of Chattanooga; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Sammy Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
