Hamilton County Elementary Students Participate In Track Meets

Nearly 1,800 students will participate at Red Bank High School and Ooltewah High School on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12 to compete in the 28th Annual Elementary Track and Field Meets.  The rain dates for the events will be Monday, May 15 and Tuesday, May 16.

Students will compete in seven events including a 100-, 200- and 400-meter dash, standing long jump, running long jump, shot-put, and 4 x 100 relays.

The track meet culminates the year’s physical education curriculum.
Participating students will be awarded first through sixth place ribbons based on their performance. Students not placing will receive a participation ribbon. Students were selected to participate based on tryouts and positive behavior at their school. 

The events begin at approximately 10 a.m. and conclude before 1 p.m. on both days.
