Thomas “Skipper” Richard Wilkey, Jr., 51, a lifelong resident of Dayton, Tennessee, died on Monday, April 24, 2017, in his home.
Skipper loved hunting, fishing, cooking, baking, home canning and outdoors. He was born Dec. 9, 1965, in Rhea County to the late Ruby Viola Revis Wilkey and Thomas Richard Wilkey, Sr., both of Dayton, Tn.
Skipper was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Renee Wilkey; grandparents, Earl H. Wilkey, Minnie Page Wilkey, Harry M. Revis and Dora Barley Revis, all of Dayton.
Skipper is survived by his father, Thomas Richard (Wanda) Wilkey, Sr.; his sister, Pastor Beverly (Mack) Louallen; his son, Thomas “ Sloan” (Jennifer) Richard Wilkey III; granddaughters, Kierstin Leanne and Lora Brielle Wilkey; stepdaughters, Lora Beth ( Greggory) Crain Ennis and Brittany Ballard; step-granddaughter, Brooklyn Lovins; step-grandson, Tre Ennis; nephew, Jonathan (Jennifer) Louallen; and great-nieces, Reagan Alexis Louallen and Halle Jade Louallen.
A Celebration of Life Service for Skipper’s family and friends will be held on Friday, April 28, at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary of Solomon’s Porch Church, Dayton, with his brother-In-Law, Pastor Mack Louallen officiating.
